These Advertising Compliance Standards (“Standards”) are published by Boldwin Ltd. (“Boldwin”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). They apply to all advertisers, agencies, partners, affiliates and any third party who provides Advertisements or Display Inventory through Boldwin’s services, technologies, SDK or ad exchange. By accessing, submitting, or distributing Advertisements or Display Inventory through Boldwin, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to comply with these Standards.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Standards:
“Advertisement” means any creative asset, software, service promotion, or application content owned or licensed to an advertiser and provided for promotion.
“Display Inventory” means digital assets owned by publishers or third parties, including (without limitation):
• mobile applications,
• mobile or desktop websites,
• computer applications, on which Advertisements may be displayed or served.
2. General Requirements
All Advertisements and Display Inventory must comply with all applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. Advertisements and Display Inventory must follow recognized best practices, and must not include or link to content involving explicit content, hate, racism, spam, scams, fraudulent activity, or any content that may harm Boldwin’s business or reputation.
3. Advertisement Standards
1. Advertisements must not impersonate or mimic operating system functions, pop-ups, system alerts, notifications, or app interfaces.
2. Advertisements must be clearly identifiable and include visible markers, borders, contrasting backgrounds, or other elements differentiating them from native page content.
3. Interstitial ads must include a clear and accessible dismissal method. Forced clicks or forced submission of personal information to continue using an app are prohibited.
4. Advertisements may not contain malware, harmful scripts, viruses, trojans, worms, or any code that compromises device or user safety.
5. Advertisements must not impersonate individuals, brands, or entities and may not claim false affiliation or endorsement.
4. Advertising Content & Creative Requirements
4.1 Prohibited ContentThe following content is strictly prohibited in any Advertisement, creative asset or landing page:Sexual or explicit content
• Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or violence
• Fraudulent, deceptive or misleading content (including fake offers or false claims)
• Illegal activities of any kind
• Malware, harmful scripts or hidden trackers
• Impersonation of brands, companies or individuals
• Misrepresentation of product capabilities, outcomes or results
4.2 Restricted Content (requires Boldwin’s approval)
The following categories require explicit written approval prior to launching campaigns:Financial services and investment platforms
• Health, wellness or medical products
• Gambling or gaming (including play-to-win and reward-based apps)
• Dating or relationship services
• User-generated-content platforms
• Apps or content aimed at minors
4.3 Landing Page Requirements
Landing pages must:
• Be functional, secure and non-deceptive
• Match the messaging and claims of the Advertisement
• Not contain misleading redirects or “bait-and-switch” flows
• Disclose all legally-required information
• Not force users to share personal information to access basic content
Not impersonate system alerts, app permissions or OS features
5. Data Collection & Privacy
1. Advertisements or Display Inventory must not collect, use or disclose End User data without the user’s knowledge and, where required, consent.
2. Users must be informed clearly and transparently of any collection of personal or sensitive information.
3. Collected data must be stored securely and protected with appropriate technical and organizational measures.
4. All data practices must comply with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA and local regulations).
6. Compliance, Enforcement & Penalties
Boldwin reserves the right to take enforcement action at its sole discretion.
6.1 Enforcement Actions
• Immediate suspension of campaigns or advertiser accounts
• Removal or blocking of specific advertisements
• Traffic throttling or delivery limitation
• Withholding payments or credits associated with non-compliant activity
• Requirement to modify or replace creatives or landing pages
• Termination of the advertiser relationship or agreement
6.2 Audit Rights
Boldwin may:
• Review or monitor any Advertisement, landing page or associated asset
• Request supporting documentation, ownership validation or compliance proof
• Validate financial, medical, or performance-related claims
• Require updates or changes as a condition of continuing service
• Failure to comply with audit requests constitutes a violation.
7. Transparency, Reporting & Data Integrity
7.1 Advertiser Obligations
Advertisers must:
• Provide accurate company, campaign and product information
• Disclose any tracking, data collection or measurement tools used
• Report promptly any compliance incidents, data breaches or investigations
• Supply campaign documentation or reporting if requested
7.2 Data Integrity Standards
Advertisers must ensure:
• No manipulation or artificial inflation of impressions, clicks or conversions
• No use of automated tools to falsify KPIs
• All measurement data and URLs remain accurate and updated
7.3 Cooperation
Advertisers agree to fully cooperate with Boldwin on compliance reviews, providing revised creatives or adjustments to landing pages when needed.
8. Modifications to the Standards
Boldwin may modify or update these Standards at any time, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
